Supplementary Terms of Use for Pet Sitters Last updated: 7 September 2026 These Terms apply in addition to HundBunt's General Terms of Use to users who apply for or operate a pet sitter profile. 1. Independent Activity of the Pet Sitter Pet sitters may offer their pet care services either as private individuals or as part of a self-employed, commercial or other business activity. They offer their services in their own name and on their own responsibility. In relation to their pet care services, pet sitters are neither employees, agents, representatives nor vicarious agents of HundBunt. In particular, HundBunt does not determine whether, when, where, at what price or in what manner a pet sitter offers or performs pet care. Pet sitters must truthfully state whether they act privately or commercially or as a business and must update this information if circumstances change. The actual circumstances of their activity are decisive. 2. The Pet Sitter's Own Legal Obligations Pet sitters are responsible for reviewing and complying with the statutory, regulatory, tax, trade, animal welfare and insurance requirements applicable to their activities. Pet sitters acting commercially or as a business are, in particular, responsible for providing pet owners with the provider and consumer information required by law. HundBunt does not undertake any tax, legal or regulatory registration on behalf of a pet sitter. 3. Review and Activation of Pet Sitter Profiles There is no entitlement to the activation or permanent publication of a pet sitter profile. During the application and activation process, HundBunt assesses only the information and documents provided by the pet sitter. HundBunt does not conduct independent research into a pet sitter's personal or professional history and, in particular, does not investigate undisclosed previous activities, incidents or other circumstances. Activation of a profile does not constitute official approval, licensing, certification, a recommendation or a guarantee of the pet sitter's suitability, reliability or safety. Where a particular attribute is expressly identified as checked or verified, this relates exclusively to that attribute and to the information or evidence submitted for this purpose. 4. Relationship with Pet Owners Pet care arrangements are agreed exclusively between the respective pet sitter and pet owner. HundBunt does not become a party to a pet care contract and, in particular, does not determine the price, payment method, period, scope, performance or cancellation terms. HundBunt does not provide any booking, contract confirmation, payment or transaction processing function specifically intended for pet care services. The chat is intended for communication between users. Whether statements made there create a contract or other legal obligations depends on the statements made by the parties involved and the applicable statutory provisions. Pet sitters and pet owners are responsible for exchanging all information and making all arrangements necessary for the pet care. 5. Visibility and Ranking An activated pet sitter profile may be displayed in search results. There is no entitlement to any particular position, visibility, number of profile views or contact requests. The ordering and visibility of pet sitter profiles may be influenced in particular by the following criteria: - distance from the location searched by the user, - price of the pet care offered, - existing reviews and references, - the pet sitter's activity, in particular regular use of HundBunt and prompt responses to enquiries, - completeness and quality of the profile, and - how closely the profile matches the search and filter criteria selected by the user. The significance of the individual criteria may vary depending on the particular search and the filters used. HundBunt does not use a permanently guaranteed ordering or weighting of individual criteria. HundBunt may also use temporary free measures to increase visibility, in particular for newly registered pet sitters or pet sitters who become active again after a longer period of inactivity. Paid features for increased visibility or preferential placement may also be offered. If such a feature affects the ranking or visibility of a profile, this will be presented clearly and transparently before purchase. Use of such features is voluntary. Free or paid measures to increase visibility may result in a profile being displayed ahead of other profiles that would otherwise have ranked higher based on the remaining ranking criteria. 6. Restriction and Termination HundBunt may, in particular, restrict, suspend or remove a pet sitter profile or individual functions if information is false or misleading, if the Terms of Use or statutory provisions are breached, if there are specific indications of fraud or significant security risks, or if this is required by a statutory or regulatory obligation. Where Regulation (EU) 2019/1150 applies to a commercial pet sitter, the pet sitter will receive the legally required statement of reasons in the event of a restriction, suspension or termination. Full ordinary termination will generally be communicated at least 30 days in advance, unless a statutory exception applies. 7. Data, Amendments and Supplementary Rules While their account exists, pet sitters can access the data made available to them within it. Once the account has been terminated, access through the user account will generally no longer be available. Statutory retention obligations, data protection rights and the provisions of the Privacy Policy remain unaffected. Pet sitters retain the rights to their own content. HundBunt's use of that content is governed by the General Terms of Use. Where required by law, amendments to these Terms will generally be communicated to commercial pet sitters at least 15 days before they take effect. A longer period will be granted where the amendment requires material adjustments. Statutory exceptions, particularly for mandatory legal changes or unforeseen and immediate security risks, remain unaffected. In all other respects, HundBunt's General Terms of Use apply.
